Impressive Growth in 2011 for eHealth Global Technologies
eHealth Global Technologies, Inc. (eHGT) has released information regarding its growth in 2011.

The Rochester, New York based company is leading the way in digital medical information sharing, with its eHealth Access™ Record Retrieval Service as well as eHealth Connect® Diagnostic Image Exchange. eHGT now provides record retrieval services to almost 70 academic facilities representing 50% of the top 100 hospitals in the U.S, and overall has seen a 25% increase in its customer base just since the beginning of 2011.

Four Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) have recently adopted the eHealth Connect Diagnostic Image Exchange Service, and when these implementations are completed eHGT will provide image sharing for approximately 6 million patients, over 5,000 users, and over 55 healthcare facilities. In the second half of the year, it is expected that several more HIEs, including 20 or more participating healthcare providers will begin using this innovative offering, including the first statewide image exchange. It is projected there will be in excess of 3 million imaging exams managed by eHGT’s image exchange services in 2011. eHGT’s growth has been so substantial that their employee base has increased 80% from 2010, and is expected to double by year end.

eHealth Connect provides instant access to full-resolution diagnostic-quality images anytime, from anywhere they are needed, enabling medical professionals to provide faster diagnosis and treatment. The service benefits all stakeholders by enhancing the quality of care, improving patient safety, and improving the efficiency of healthcare delivery while reducing the cost of care. eHealth Connect puts the patients’ care first by unifying all their external health images and records.

Many of the most prestigious hospitals in the U.S. rely on the eHealth Access Record Retrieval service to help them streamline the process of collecting external patient information – allowing care providers to see patients sooner, with more complete medical records including diagnostic images. This improves the coordination of care for the entire medical team, ultimately benefiting patients, payers and providers. eHealth Access transforms the ordeal of tracking down referral care records, which can often drag on for weeks, into a quick, simple turnkey service that can be obtained with a click of a mouse.

eHGT is proud to announce their client base includes 13 out of the 17 hospitals that were selected to the prominent Honor Roll of the Best Hospitals according to the 2011-2012 U.S. News & World Report. This honor is reserved for medical centers that demonstrate clinical excellence within multiple specialties. According to U.S. News & World Report, “Just 17 of the nearly 5,000 hospitals evaluated for the 2011-12 rankings qualified.” eHGT would like to congratulate their clients on this impressive achievement.

“Our commitment is to provide the best possible services for the coordination of patient care, by leveraging the best possible technology and the best possible people,” stated Michael Margiotta, chief executive officer. “We are excited about our growth, and are energized by the continuing acceleration of our business, as more and more healthcare institutions learn about the value we deliver,” he added.
